i embrace movement with curiosity because my body is the biggest place i’ll ever be.

getting to know myself intimately through movement can be awkward, ugly even. the myth about dance is that it has to be pretty. the most decadent movement is birthed from inner sensation. i do what makes me feel good, looking good comes after.
abandon fear, doubt, or consciousness of who might be watching. that has no place here. i’m occupied with making room for trust. freestyle is a flex of my intuition. i embrace movement with curiosity because my body is the biggest place i’ll ever be. i dance all around the world, and yet i remain in my body, always exploring new corners within myself.

movement floods my life with joy and has ushered in a great big love. i’ve attracted many loves of my life on the dance floor. to surrender to the pleasure of melting into rhythm is ecstasy.i dance to venerate my ancestors. dance is a tool for freedom which i wield with courage and generosity.
